first day on my 10 day geology field trip in Rocky! did a lot of mapping and appreciating of the local lithology and (of course) the animals!🪨 🗺️ 🐴 🐮

on sunday we went on a field trip to Fingal Head beach in northern NSW. we looked at the naturally forming columnar bar rocks (picture 1) and took notes on the lithology of the nearby beach! although windy, it was very beautiful and very clean- so no rubbish needed to be picked up, yay! 🥰🎉🪨

today we went on an earth science field trip to Toohey Forest, we had a look at different types of rocks and minerals! on the way back i found some cigarette butts and threw them away! 🪨🫶🏻🌎🌱
