I spend 6 hours volunteering at EPIC pathways! This was a very informative session for me to learn more about aboriginal and Torres straight island people and their culture!

Abby Sun signed my friends and I up for 50/50 at an AFL game. Our cause that we were raising money for today was Beyond Domestic Violence to support domestic violence survivor and uplift the young generation of men to a standard where DV is negated. This was a really meaningful cause to support and I had some great conversations with people about the cause.

Today we had the planning session for the EPIC events. As an international student I do not know much about indigenous communities in Australia and this is a great opportunity for me to learn some new things and meet some great people!

I went the to the sexual health talk today about female sexual pleasure. This was an informative experience that re-informed my knowledge and I had some good conversations with my friends around the female anatomy which is usually a lesser discussed topic.

Today I attended the STI talk with Rio and Peta. I learnt more information about STI’s, consent and relationships. This information will be useful during my time at university exploring relationships and also to help my friends out in life situations. I feel like this workshop has opened up comfortability with my friends to talk about situations with STI’s and relationships

Emma and I sat in on Dr. Tarli Young’s Connect and Thrive continued session. I learnt how to bust myths on social connection, identify weak spots in myself and strategies on how I can grow socially. This was really useful as a non- Australian student trying to understand the social scene here.
