The first session was moving furniture from in and around Ironside school to the truck. The Rotary Club was helping with donations to schools in Papua New Guinea who needed desks and chairs to help improve the learning environment for students. It was mainly chairs and desks that we moved and I had help from Wes and Len, along with a friend from UQ. Everyone was really enthusiastic about it and was a very positive experience, knowing that it was helping people.
The second session was driving the items and unloading them ready to be moved across to the schools. I have to note that Wes was very helpful and had a great time chatting to him about flying as I learned he had his license which was really interesting.
