Tonight was our induction into Toowong Rotary club. We are so excited to continue the connection between King’s and the Rotary Club as we thoroughly enjoyed our involved in the club, their meeting as well as their initiatives last year. We hope to attend meetings frequently to stay up to date with what is going on in the community and ways we can involve ourselves and King’s College in service to others.

On Sunday, Stefi and I ran Clean up Australia Day for King’s! We were so excited to have close to 60 people come down to support us and to clean up our local environment. It was a great morning and a HUGE improvement from last year. We hope this motivation continues throughout the year so we can keep working to give back and make a larger difference in the broader King’s community. Thank you to everyone who came along, we really appreciate it!

As a part of P week we did an early morning bushcare session with Jack Wade. It was really helpful to learn the layout of the areas we will be working on this year to help us get prepared to assist Jack when I participate in Bushcare with the first years on my flat.

We helped out the day before Kings in Pink to get everything moved around and organised ready for the big day!

We went along to the Rotary Trivia Night, it was great to see everyone again but sadly we came last in the trivia 😔

Tonight we went along again to the Toowong Rotary members meeting. We got to hear about Len Hepburn’s personal profile and his involvement in Rotary which was very interesting and I even won the raffle!

We went back to Community Table tonight to make meals for the homeless, we got a lot done in the two hours!

29/04/25 Our first time going to a Toowong Rotary dinner/meeting. It was so nice to meet everybody and hear all their stories.

Went to another Rotary dinner, the guest speaker Susan was very interesting and it was so nice that the members recognised us from last time.

We helped out with Community Table preparing food for distribution to the homeless it was so nice to help out!

This morning we weeded the bushes around Kings College for bushcare with the help of Jack. It was lots of fun!

We helped the Western Districts Netball Club recover after the cyclone by moving and restocking supplies.

Volunteering at the Rotary packing medical supplies, children’s books, and baby bundles to be sent to PNG.

We sold raffle tickets at Suncorp Stadium for the 50/50 foundation with proceeds going towards the Hearts in Rugby charity.
