I worked with EPIC pathways as a volunteer mentor for their Day 1 Program. I helped support kids and help them move out of their comfort zone and learn more about their culture.

I took part in an EPIC pathways program day. It is a First Nation charity designed to help empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students. The purpose is to help build connections and support them through school and post school.

I worked with Kinari and Juliet for an UQ Expo Set up in Gold Coast to represent King’s. We helped at a stand and with a Q&A. We talked to different students who were interested in joining King’s next year and helped talk about college from our experiences so far.

My room was used for the tours for prospective students who are wanting to join kings. My room was shown during the tour in the break and the whole week after returning back to Kings.

I was a part of the Bushcare program this morning. Jack explained to us the different types of bushes and weeds in the area. We were removing all ones we were told to remove to help the environment. It was key to pull them from the roots to ensure they wouldn’t come back. I really enjoyed it as I got to meet new people along the way.
